Freemasonry is one of the world’s oldest non-political, non-sectarian fraternities with some 35,000 members in Ireland and around 4 million members world-wide.

It is a society concerned with high moral and spiritual values taught throught a series of ancient forms, using the customs and tools of the stone mason as allegorical guides.

It is open to men of integrity, of any religion, who believe in a Supreme Being.

Every Freemason is encouraged:

  • To do his duty to his God (by his own tradition),

  • To extend and develop his whole persona and phyche,

  • To show care for the community by giving of his time and talents,

  • To conform to the laws of the land in which he resides and by which he is protected.
